We started Guardiant with one goal in mind: Create an enterprise-class backup that small businesses could afford.  Having worked in IT for a combined total of 15 years, we had all seen our share of disk failures, data corruption, theft, and even building fires.  More often than not, each of us had always been called in retroactively to fix the damage; recovering files, rebuilding data, replacing hard drives.  What almost never happened was a proactive call to protect the business from disaster in the first place!  The creation of Guardiant Backup was our attempt to rectify this backward approach to data protection.

The biggest problem we saw with backup solutions was that they were either inadequate for business protection, or they were too expensive for smaller businesses.  Our idea was to match the attractive price of the lower end of the spectrum and the features of the higher end.  Guardiant offers full computer backup (files, programs, settings, OS . . . everything!), open file support, multiple file versions, web-based restoration, encrypted transfer and storage, and multiple, redundant off-site storage locations.  The best part is that we offer all of this for less than 1/5th the cost of our closest competitor.

Since we accomplished our original goal of creating a service that businesses both need and can afford, we had to set a new goal: giving our customers peace of mind that their data is protected.  At the end of the day, that's what really counts in a backup service -- knowing that the information that keeps your business running is safe from anything life can throw at it.  We work very hard to make sure we're that company; the one you can depend on to keep your data safe!
